Rev. Karen Schmidt

Karen Schmidt is a native of Nebraska. She and her husband, Pete have
spent the last 32 years living near Denver, CO, raising their family of three.
Karen has worked in a variety of ministry areas prior to taking the Rocky
Ridge pastorate. She has been a chaplain in the hospital setting, in
hospice, and in elder care communities. Karen’s philosophy of ministry is
that the Church exists to be a hospital to the hurting AND a training ground
for Jesus’ followers to learn to share the Gospel and minister God’s love
everywhere. Rocky Ridge is a special place. People here take God’s love
as their own to give to everyone they encounter. YOU BELONG HERE.

Alice Butler serves as Worship Leader and accompanist at Rocky Ridge Church. She leads the Praise Band, directs the Sanctuary Choir, and plays the piano and keyboard. Her passion in ministry is to encourage and equip musicians and the congregation to connect more deeply with God through lyrics and music. She began serving in worship services at age 13 as a church pianist in her hometown of Cullman, Alabama. In her spare time, you will find Alice reading as well as traveling and exploring the beauty of God’s creation.

Jackie Tow

“Act justly, love mercy, walk humbly with your God” Micah 6:8

This scripture is Jackie's guiding principle for ministry as she seeks justice, mercy, and humility in everything she does. She came to Rocky Ridge in 2003 and felt at home. Working with youth and children is something she has done in some way all her life.  Whether by teaching Sunday school, children’s church, youth Bible studies, and VBS. She also teaches about Jesus every day in a Kindergarten classroom. Her constant prayer for our youth and children’s ministry is for God to fill our children’s wing with young people.

Susan Baggett is the church secretary.  She has been a member of Rocky Ridge CP Church since 2002.  She is also the Sunday School Teacher for the nursery.
